1 Why should I opt for receiving advertisements on my Mobile?
A. BSNL brings advertisements of various products & services according to your profile, preferences and convenience on your
mobile. Registering for Mobile advertising service and receiving advertisements on your mobile may also earn you some gratification
in some cases in terms of Free extra talk time etc.
This is a new media to approach you and offer you information about new products and service which may be of interest to you.
2 What is meant by gratification?
A. As an incentive to you BSNL may give you some gratification in some cases. It is in terms of Free talk time in case of prepaid
subscribers and in terms of discount in case of postpaid subscribers.
3 How much gratification will be given against different services?
A. You will be given following gratification
 Registration & basic service : In this you have to give your consent for mobile advertising services, you give your profile
and you agree to receive 2 SMS or 2 MMS or WAP promotions per day and 2 voice ad dial per day for the entire month -
Rs. 5 / month
 Ads onMissed Call Notification (MCN) - No gratification
 WAP Banner Ad service - No gratification
 Ads on Idle screen: You agree to receive and view upto ten Ads per day for entire month -Maximum Rs. 5 / month
4 When I will be given the gratification earned by me?
A. The Gratification will be given at every month end, if you have continuously availed the service for the entire month.
5 How I will be given the gratification amount?
A. If you are a prepaid subscribers the gratification will be credited to your prepaid account as Free Talk Time and in case you are post
paid subscriber the gratification will be adjusted as discount in the bill of next billing cycle.
6 How can I register for the Mobile advertising service?
A. You can choose either of the two methods:
a. Dial a toll free IVR short code 51235 and follow the instructions or
b. Access the charge freeWAP site http://AdSeKamao.bsnl.in and click on the ‘Register’ button and fill up the details.
In both the methods you need to complete a profile survey. During this registration process you will also be asked about various
categories of advertisement that you will be interested in and the time suitable for you to receive the advertisements. Some incentive
for you for doing so is also possible.
7 Why the registration is necessary?
A. Registration allows us to take your consent for Mobile advertising services and send suitable advertisements according to your
profile, preferences and convenience.
8 How can I de-register from the Mobile advertising service?
A. You can choose either of the two methods:
a. Dial a toll free IVR short code 51235 and follow the instructions or
b. Access the charge freeWAP site http://AdSeKamao.bsnl.in and click on the ‘de-register’ button and follow the instructions.

deactivate specific service.
2. Can I update my profile?

3. Is there any incentive for me to go for Mobile advertising service.
A. Yes, there may be some gratification in some cases in terms of Free talk time etc. For latest information about this call toll free

4. What is Missed Call Notification?
A. The Missed call Notification (MCN) is a Value added service for subscribers which
provides SMS alerts for missed calls. The MCN allows you to know that you have
missed a call, when your phone was switched off, or when you were out of signal range.
These messages are always day and time stamped to give you idea of call timings.
5. Do I have to pay for Missed Call Notification?
A. Missed Call Notification is provided to BSNL subscribers FREE of COST.
6. What is Ads onMissed Call Notification (MCN) service?
A. This service will provide you an advertisement along with a normal Missed Call
Notification. The advertisement will appear after the text notifying Missed Call.
7. Will receiving advertisement affect my normal services like making or
receiving calls or SMSs?
A. Receiving advertisement will not affect any of your services. You will keep
availing all the services as you avail today.
8. Do I have to go through a registration process to start getting
advertisements?
A. Yes, you need to go through the registration process for availing advertisement on
the missed call notifications.
9. What type of ads can be given to me throughMCN?
A. Three types of Ads may be given through Missed Call Notification.
i. Plain Text ads: The ads will have an ad/information message of
upto 80 characters
ii. WAP link: A WAP link can be tagged in MCN for you to click and
browse.
iii. Ads with Response Message: Three types of response message can be tagged with MCN ads

10. Will the Ads be relevant to me.?
A. MCN Ad system has the intelligence to attach and send your profile and preference specific Ads to you.

1. What is WAP banner ad?
A. Banner is the medium of advertising in WAP. They are usually gif or jpeg files which display advertisements.
2. What is WAP Banner Ad service?
A. This service will provide you advertisements as WAP banners through the Ad enabled WAP portal. BSNL has developed a new
WAP site http://AdSeKamao.bsnl.in where advertisements will be available for various brands.
3. How can I avail this service?
A. For availing this service you will first have to subscribe to this service. Access the WAP site ‘http://adsekamao.bsnl.in’, click on
registration button and complete the profile survey and registration process and choose the delivery mode of ads as WAP bannner.
Alternatively you can also register by dialing the IVR toll free short code 51235.
After successful completion of registration process you will be given an intimation about your registration.
4. Does this service require GPRS?
A. Yes, normal GPRS connectivity is required for accessing http://AdSeKamao.bsnl.in. To get GPRS connectivity call BSNL call
centre at 09400024365.
5. Once I have subscribed to this service, how can I use this service?
A. To use this service you may visit the WAP site ‘http://adsekamao.bsnl.in’, any time. Here you can view various advertisements
according to your taste.
6. How many types of WAP banners are there?
A. There are two types of Banners. Clickable banners and Non Clickable banners.
7. What are non Clickable banners?
A. Non Clickable or static banners as they are sometimes called displays the whole
advertising information in the banner itself.
8. What are Clickable banners?
A. Clickable banners are those which on clicking take you to another WAP page which
displays further details of the advertisement

FAQs on Ads on Idle Screen Service
1 What is Ads on Idle screen service?
A. This service will provide you advertisements on the screen of your cell phone
when it is in idle state i.e. not being used and your phone’s main screen is open.
Scrolling of Ads is stopped when the phone is used or any active key is pressed.
You can click on the running advertisements for more information if interested.
This can be done using the PEN (*Illustrated below) key of your phone. When
you press any other active key of the handset the advertisement will seize to
display.
2. Will receiving advertisement affect my normal services like making or
receiving calls or SMSs?
A. Receiving advertisement will not interfere with any of your services. You will
keep availing all the services as you avail today.
3. How can I subscribe to this service?
A. Registered subscribers can avail this service by clicking on the ‘Activation
service’ and then selecting the ‘Idle screen service’ on the WAP site
http://AdSeKamao.bsnl.in and downloading the client application. After the
client application is downloaded in your handset it will be updated with
advertisements on daily basis. These will be visible on your screen when it is not
in use i.e. idle mode.
4. How much shall I have to pay to download the Idle screen client?
A. Download of the client on your cell phone is free.
5. How Ads are delivered with the Idle screen service?
A. As your phone goes in idle mode a scroll starts showing the advertisements as teaser image in the lower part of the handset screen.
You can click to any of the teaser advertisement to view a full screen Ad. To get more information you may initiate actions like
 sending an SMS,
 invoke an URL
 More info etc.
6. How can I return to my normal screen from the advertisement?
A. You can stop the display of advertisement by just pressing any active key of your handset.
7. Can I enable / disable my Idle Screen application temporarily?
A. Yes, you can do so by going to your NGIDLE Manager in your installed application folder or in main menu and clicking on the
appropriate option.
8. How can I delete the application from the handset?

9. What will happen if I change my Handset?
A. You will have to download the application again. However registration will not be required.
10. Does the above service require data connection?
A. Yes, normal GPRS connectivity is required for downloading and activating Idle Screen client application.
11. Does this service work on all handsets?
A. No, Idle Screen application works for selected list of Symbian handsets of Nokia.
12. Does my phone Supports this service?
