You may have experience with traditional tutoring—whether you've gone to a learning center or had weekly sessions with a tutor at school . Live Tutor is a totally different experience. Live Tutor is a combination of easy to use affordable devices, broadband network and application software, enabling students to access the best available resources for learning, while teachers to get access better tools for imparting knowledge. It connects students and teachers across geographies and time zones, via video-based modules to have live interactions.
Here the teacher and student see each other and start interacting on the specified subject. The service is aimed at providing affordable home tuitions to students studying from KG to 12. At the end of the session, the teacher sums up Session Notes to help the student reinforce the learning and also to serve as a quick revision. The student- tutor sessions are recorded and can be played back by the students' anytime / anywhere using internet.
The service makes use of a video phone to connect between the tutor and the student. The student and the tutor have to register with the Live Tutor service for availing this service. The video phone works using the SIP protocol and will be registered to a SIP server. The video phone uses the H263 or H264 codecs to compress the video images while transferring and hence it requires only a minimum of 128kbps to get a descent image at both ends.
For availing this service, the subscriber requires only an unlimited Broadband connection, Video Phone / Smart Phone / PC with video stream capability, a headset and microphone if the customer wants to avoid holding the handset and signup on http://bsnl.livetutor.in/index.aspx for the service.
This service uses very simple technology - as elementary as a video phone which is as easy to use as normal phone. After enrollment, these devices will be shipped by M/s Smartlinx to the customer and their Tech support desk guides the customer through the setup process which doesn't take more than 15 minutes !!!

- All packages will contain an extra "Intro Session" at the beginning of the package. Every session consists of 60 minutes of tutor-student interaction.
- Normally, students take a class every alternate day (thus, three classes per week and 12 classes per month).
- Each session is only for an Hour.
- Cost of the video phone device is Rs14999/- (inclusive of all taxes and installation charges). Interested subscribers can procure the device from market provided it supports SIP with H264 Codec.

Ans: you can learn from the comfort of the home and save the traveling time. You can select the subject and the expert tutors. Different tutors are available at different times as per your requirement.
3. How do I schedule a tutoring session?
Ans: Depending upon your convenience and the availability of the tutors, the tutoring sessions can be scheduled for you.
4. What pricing packages do you offer?
Ans: Different packages for a minimum of 10hrs, based on your school levels like Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary.
5. Do you offer any money back guarantee?
Ans: If informed within 5 days from the start of the service, the amount shall be refunded in full by M/s Smartlinx. After that no refunds are available. In case of equipment taken on refund plan, the refund will be as follows, 1 month 100% refundable 2- 6 months 50% refundable 6 - 12 months 25% refundable > year no refunds
6. What are the payment options?
Ans: All payments has to be made in advance through M/s Smartlinx's payment gateway or if there is no debit card for the customer then M/s Smartlinx will provide the card and bank account.
7. What curriculum and text books does the teacher use?
Ans: Initially each tuition will be tailored according to the student's requirement by the teacher. Later standard topics based on available curriculum shall be published.
8. How can I cancel or reschedule my sessions?

9. What happens if the session is effected by some technical problems?
Ans: You will be charged only to the extent of your usage and efforts shall be made to rectify the fault immediately if you call our help desk.
10. I m not happy with the live tutor? what to do?
Ans: You will have the option to select another tutor. No refund of service charges or tuition fee will be made. In case of equipment taken on refund plan, the refund will be as follows, 1 month 100% refundable 2- 6 months 50% refundable 6 - 9 months 25% refundable > year no refunds
11. How do I select the tutor? Do you provide any demo secession?
Ans: You can select the subject and the expert tutors. And one demo session can be arranged.
12. How does your phone look and how can I see the tutor?
Ans: This phone has an LCD Screen and VGA camera, enabling high quality video conferences from your home .You can see the tutor in the screen.

Ans: To become a BSNL Live Tutor, you must, possess b content knowledge in English, math, science, or social studies at the level you wish to teach—elementary grade through first year college. 3. What are my duties and responsibilities as a tutor?

4. How do I apply for a tutoring position?
