INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES OF DIRECT RECRUITMENT “TELECOM TECHNICAL ASSISTANT” (TTA) FROM OPEN MARKET FOR THE
RECRUITMENT YEAR-2012
.
Candidates are advised to read carefully and follow the instructions given below and also details of the examination including syllabus contained in the advertisement published in the Newspapers/Calcutta Telephones website.
1. Admission to the Direct Recruitment of TTA (DR) – 2012 is purely provisional subject to fulfillment of all eligibility conditions and submission of documentary evidence in this regard. Issuance of Admit Card for the examination will not confirm any right for appointment.
2. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the examination at any Centre other than the Examination Centre as mentioned in the Admit Card of the concerned Circle where the application was submitted by the candidate. No request for change of Examination Centre would be permitted under any circumstances.
3. Candidates should ascertain themselves that the three years Engineering Diploma/Engg/Degree/M.Sc qualification Certificate/Mark Sheet as applicable submitted by him/her along with the application is/are recognized by the A.I.C.T.E. of Govt. of India before appearing at the TTA DR-2012 examination.
Applications From candidates not possessing requisite educational qualification recognized by the A.I.C.T.E. will not be considered for selection.
4. Their shall be a single multiple choice objective type paper of three hours consisting of 3(three) parts (Part-i, Part-ii & Part-iii) as detailed below:-

5. The candidates must be seated in the examination hall 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. No candidate shall be admitted to the examination hall after 30 minutes of the scheduled time of commencement of the examination.
6. Candidates should bring with them to the examination hall a Black Ball Point Pen.
7. The candidates must read the instruction given on the question booklet very carefully before answering the questions and strictly follow them. Candidates who do not follow the instructions may be penalized.
8. Candidates must return the OMR answer sheet to the invigilator on completion of the examination. The question booklet may be taken away by the candidates.
9. The use of non programmable Calculator is permitted.
10. The candidates shall not be allowed to leave the examination hall until the expiry of 02 hrs (Two hours) of the examination.
11. The candidates shall not bring with them in examination hall any Books, Notes, Papers, Mobile/Cellular Phones or any other such articles. They should bring to the examination hall only the items permitted at Sl. No. 6 and 9 above.
12. Candidates must write the examination in their own hand writing.
13. No candidate shall copy from the paper of any other candidate or permit his own paper to be copied, nor give nor attempt to give nor obtain or attempt to obtained irregular assistant of any description.

14. No candidate should write anything on the admission certificate or on the instruction to the
candidates in the examination hall or before entering the examination hall.
15. The candidates are not permitted to seek any clarifications regarding question from the
Supervisors/Invigilators. Supervisors/Invigilators will not offer any clarifications regarding
questions.
16. If the candidate slips away from the toilet he/she will not be allowed to re-enter the
examination hall.
17. The candidate must not continue to write or revise their answers or should not engage
themselves in conversation with any other candidate after the expiry of the time. If they do so,
they will be penalized.
18. Candidate should not stand or loiter in and around the examination hall after been permitted
to leave the examination hall by the Invigilator.
19. Silence must be observed in the examination hall.
20. Smoking or taking Tea or any other refreshment in the examination hall is strictly prohibited.
21. 1 (One) mark will be awarded for each correct answer. Zero (0) mark will be awarded for each
un-attempted question. There will be negative marking for each wrong one, 25% of mark of that
question shall be deducted. The final (sub-total) marks obtained will not be rounded off.
22. Candidate must abide by any further instructions as may be specified on the answer
sheet/question booklet or any other instructions which may be given by the Supervisor/Invigilator
of the examination. If the candidate fails to do so and indulges in any disorderly and improper
conduct, he will render himself liable to expulsion from the examination and or such other
punishment as BSNL may deem fit to impose. The decision of BSNL in this regard shall be final
and binding. Travel expenses must be borne by the candidates themselves
except candidates belonging to SC/ST Category. BSNL do not arrange for boarding
or lodging of the candidates.

** The Admit Card is also required at the time of document verification after selection of a
candidate.
NB :Non-receipt of admit card on or before 10.07.2013, the candidates are requested
to collect the same on 12.07.2013 from the O/o AGM(R&E), Taher Mansion, 8 Bentinck
Street, 3rd floor, Kolkata-700001, on submission of Xerox copy of demand drafts
(Rs.500/-) as was applicable and recent Pass port size photo duly attested by G.O.
during office hours from 11.00 AM to 5.00 PM.
