Karnataka Circle has announced the “ Revised Karnataka Mitra Scheme ” under 2G and 3G Pre-paid Mobile Service w.e.f. 30-01-2013 ,as indicated below. The Revised Karnataka Mitra Scheme will be available w.e.f. 30-01-2013 to 31-03-2013 only .

Plan Voucher -29 has to be activated through CTOP UP only.
* 30 Minutes free talk time is only for Local calls to any network and metering is done at 60 sec pulse rate for this free usage of 50 minutes . Freebies to be used within 30 days from the date of use of Plan Voucher.
Voice Tariff per second comes as a part of the scheme.
The customers can choose the 5 Friends and Family numbers by sending SMS FFE<space>1stnumber<space>2ndnumber<space>3rdnumber<space>4th number<space>5th number to 53733 .
The customers can change the Friends and Family numbers by sending SMS FFM<space>1stnumber<space>2ndnumber<space>3rdnumber<space>4th number<space>5th number to 53733 . M ,indicates modification.Rs.10 per change per number will be charged.
Initial validity will be 180 days , after the expiry of validity the customers have to use Plan Voucher costing Rs.29 for further extension. Similarly the customers who wish to migrate to Revised Karnataka Mitra Scheme also can use the Plan Voucher costing Rs.29.
Existing Karnataka Mitra customers,New Karnataka Mitra customers in case recharge with plan voucher-29 for extending validity, they will be migrated to Revised Karnataka Mitra plan & they have re-register F&F numbers once again.
TRAI released a Regulation on ‘Deactivation of Cellular Mobile Telephone Connections due to Non-usage"
Telecom regulator Trai said inactive mobile connections of prepaid customers cannot be deactivated if they have a minimum balance of Rs 20 in their account and the time period for considering 'inactive' has been set at 90 days.
Announcing an amendment to a regulation for protecting consumers, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) said: "There shall be no deactivation if the balance in prepaid consumer account is Rs 20 or more."
"The mobile connections of prepaid consumers shall not be deactivated for any period of non-usage less than 90 days," Trai said.
As per amended regulations, telecom operator will have to provide facility to prepaid to reactivate numbers by paying reasonable amount.
"A consumer whose connection is deactivated shall be given a grace period of 15 days within which he can reactivate the same number," Trai added.
