BSNL Chennai Circle Revision in tariff of data plan under 2G & 3G mobile services DATA STVs

Revision in tariff of data plan under 2G & 3G mobile services      Implementation of three new prepaid data plan vouchers under 2G/3G prepaid mobile services has been made in Chennai Telephones (incl. TN Circle) on promotional basis for 90 days with effect from 30.05.2013 to 27.08.2013. The details  of Data Plan Vouchers are as under :-  Particulars DPV-3299 DPV-2299 DPV-1251 MRP of Data Plan Voucher (inc. of S.Tax) Rs.3,299 Rs.2,299 Rs.1,251 Free Data Usage 30GB for 12 months 18GB for 12 months 9GB for 12 months Main Account Validity One year. Further extension of validity, through same plan voucher Availability Through C- Top-Up Applicability For 2G & 3G data plans with and without sale of BSNL Data Card or any of the BSNL bundled Data Card Base Voice Tariff plan Prepaid “Per Minute Plan” 1. Since the Plan is independent of these 3G Data Plan vouchers, after the validity of the customer he can use any one of the above Data Plan Voucher for activation through C-Top-Up and then the Free Data usage pertaining to the chosen DPV will be given to the customer. 2. All the DPVs will be configured in CTOPUP only. 3. During the validity, customers are allowed to use 3G Data STVs which are currently on offer. 4. For the purpose of extending the validity, customer can choose any one of the above Data Plan Voucher only and Un-utilized Free Data Usage - if any, will be carried forward in the case of recharge during the validity period. However, Un-utilized Free Data Usage – if any, will be nullified beyond validity. 5. Migration to other plans is not permitted; from other plans migration to these three new Data plans is not permitted. 6. 2G GPRS STVs are not allowed for these three data plans. Revision of  MRP of the following DATA STVs both in CTOPUP and Through SMS w.e.f 15.04.2013.  i)          MRP of Data STV with free data 30000 MB with validity 90 days increased from Rs.3002/- to Rs.3302/- ii)         MRP of Data STV with free data 10000MB with validity 30 days  increased from  Rs.1099/- to Rs.1299/-.  Sl.NO. The mechanism to revise the tariff may be as below:  a. The revision in tariff as per (A) to (C) above may be Implemented by creating/launching      similar mirrored plans of the existing plans, with the only change as mentioned in (A) to      (C) above.  b. The nomenclature of the mirrored plans shall be same as existing plans. However "_R"      may be added in the end of plan names to differentiate the existing and revised plans. For      example, the mirrored plan name of existing plan 'BBG 250' may be 'SSG 250_R'.  c. With the launch of mirrored plans as above, the corresponding existing plans shall not be      offered to the new customers. New customers shall be enrolled in the revised plans.  d. Existing customers falling under above plans, shall be migrated to the corresponding      mirrored plans as follows:-  I. Customers. who have completed more than six months as on 31-12-2012. shall be      migrated to the new corresponding mirrored plans w.e.f 01-01-2013.  II. Customers who have not completed six months as on 31-12-2012. shall be migrated to        the new corresponding mirrored plans after completion of six months. This exercise is       to be done on monthly basis upto six months.       For example, all the customers subscribed under a plan between 01-07-2012 to       31-07-2012, will be migrated to new respective mirrored plan w.e.f. 01-02-2013.  e. Customers may be suitably informed about the revision in tariff.  3. Circles shall also ensure to comply with all regulatory mechanism.  4. All other terms and conditions shall remain unchanged.  5. These Instructions shall be effective w.e.f. 01-01-2013 in all the circles.
