Samsung didn't leave its ATIV introductions to just an ARM tablet and a phone. We first saw them as the Series 5 and Series 7 tablets, which will likely be their final US names; to recap, though, the newly branded ATIV Smart PC and ATIV Smart PC Pro both look to capture some of that Transformer-like aura by mating an 11.6-inch tablet with a detachable keyboard dock for a laptop experience. Some of Samsung's own Galaxy Note vibe rubs off on them, too -- both carry an S Pen and a bundled S Note app for some on-the-spot writing. They likewise share support for 3G and 4G as well as micro-HDMI and USB, but there's a clear difference depending on what you buy. Going for the regular Smart PC loads in a modest Clover Trail-based Intel Atom processor and a 1,366 x 768 display, but offers a lengthy 13.5-hour battery life, 2GB of RAM, up to a 128GB flash drive, a rear 8-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. Slap that "Pro" moniker on the front and you have to drop to eight hours of battery life and a 5-megapixel rear camera, but you'll get a much faster Core i5 processor, a 1080p display, 4GB of RAM and as much as a 256GB SSD. Unlike the ATIV Tab, we do know the Smart PCs will be available in the US on October 26th at $649 for a base Smart PC/Series 5, $749 for a bundle with the keyboard and $1,119 for a Smart PC Pro/Series 7 with a 128GB SSD built-in.

BSNL Online Certification Program

Online Certification Program conducted by BSNL is a rare opportunity for the student and working community. The study material is made available to the students online and the students can undergo practical sessions in the desired learning centre.  The practical sessions are conducted on weekends either 4hrs on Sundays (8 Sundays) or 2hrs on Saturday and Sunday each (8 weekends). The focus is mainly on Telecom related topics like  (i)Broadband Technology(ii) Digital Switching Systems (iii) Digital Transmission Systems (iv) IP, Networking and Cyber Security (v) Mobile Communications (vi) Optical Fiber Technology and (vii) Telecom Support Infrastructure. The curriculum has been carefully designed by the experts in BSNL and the classes will be handled by BSNL experts having rich experience in the relevant area.

REGISTRATION

To do online certification program with BSNL, please register with the following steps: Click on "JOIN NOW" option in the Home page of http://learntelecom.bsnl.co.in/. Provide the necessary details and register yourself for the desired course. Select the learning centre at which you want to attend the practical sessions. On completion, please note down the user name, password and the Registration ID. This login user name and password is common for all the courses across all the training centers.

At the homepage, click the “Coordinators” tab and note the details of the respective coordinator.

FEE PAYMENT

Please contact your coordinator and get the information about the course schedule.  After successful registration, you will be prompted to download the bank challan. The bank challan will contain three copies, out of which one has to be submitted to the bank, the second copy has to be handed over to the course coordinator on the first day of orientation session and the third copy can be retained by the candidate.

 Fill in the required details in the challan including your Registration ID and make payment in the nearest branch of the State Bank of India.

Fee payment details should be entered in the website to confirm the enrollment.

DISCOUNT

20% discount will be given as inaugural offer for the first batch candidates.

STUDY MATERIAL

The study material will be provided online. Initially, only the introduction of the particular course can be viewed. During the orientation session, the challan details will be verified and entered in the website by the course coordinator. Hence after, the study material will be available on weekly basis.

The candidates should read the relevant study materials before attending the practical sessions.

PRACTICAL SESSIONS

The candidate should visit the website to know the dates of practical sessions.

EXAMINATION

Two examinations will be conducted, first at the 4th weekend and the second at the 8th weekend. a) The MRP of Plan Vouchers of General & Pyari Jodi Plans is revised as follows.

The Plan vouchers can be activated through SMS/CTop-Up. To activate General Plan Voucher,

send SMS PV171 to 53733. The plan vouchers for validity extension of General & Pyari Jodi plans will be 171 & 73 respectively.

b) The existing customers of General/ Student Special/Roam Free plans will be allowed to continue

in their current plan for a period of 180 days or till the expiry date of their plan validity, whichever

is earlier.

For Pyari Jodi existing customer will remain in his current plan for 90 days or till the expiry date of

plan validity, whichever is earlier, as the plan validity is only 90 days

c) Under Pyari Jodi Plan- Local voice call to one BSNL Fixed/WLL(Fixed/Limited Mobility) number in

his /her own name free up to thirty minutes per day. The call charge beyond thirty minutes is

revised from existing 20p/Min to normal call charges.

d) Under Student Special Plan- Reduced call charges to 5 F&F local numbers while in Home

LSA:Three Onnet numbers @10p/Min(Existing) revised to 15p/Min & Two Offnet numbers
