Q. What are the conference tariffs?

A. Conferences will be charged at Rs.3.00 per person, per minute for conferees within
Karnataka State. For conferees outside Karnataka, charges of Rs.4.00 will apply per
person, per minute.

Q. How do I make conference calls?

A. Dial 12 88 88 from your BSNL landline.

You will be answered by an operator.

Mention the time, date and number of participants in your conference call.

On booking, you will be provided with a Chairperson PIN and a Partcipant PIN.

The Chairperson PIN is what you will use to enter the conference room, and your other
members in the conference will use their Participant PINs.

Note down your booking number for further alterations or cancellations.

Make sure that you inform the other parties about the conference call to ensure their
attendance.

The calls will be billed to the BSNL landline number from which you book the conference
call.

The parties attending the conference can be situated anywhere in India, and can be on any
network.

Q. Can I accept participant calls from other service providers?

A. You can book calls only from your BSNL landline. But your conferees can be linked
with any operator. You can also include conferees with mobile numbers, but that is not
recommended as calls to mobile phones easily get dropped.

Q. What is an audio conference?

A. Audio Conference - as the name suggests, enables you to connect to numerous
people over telephone simultaneously. The number of people that you can connect to
would depend on your service provider’s capabilities. In any case it could vary from 3 to
30 beyond which it becomes an Audio Broadcast.

Audio Conference offers you prompt and cost - effective group communication, thereby
saving you and the others the trouble of travel. You can meet up with many people from
around the world while sitting at your desk.

Q. Does it mean that an audio conference can happen only with a maximum
of 30 people?

A. Not really. There can even be 500 or 1000 people in an audio conference,
depending on the size of the conference bridge. But when an audio conference crosses
50 people, then it becomes a little difficult to manage and coordinate. Think of it like a
party in your house. If you had 25 guests, you can possibly give them individual
attention. But if you had 200 guests, then managing it becomes an entirely different
thing.

Q. Which type of conferencing does BSNL offer?

A. BSNL currently offers you reserved dial-in conferences.

Q. When can we access conference facility?

A. Anytime. The facility is available on 24 x 7 basis.

Q. How reliable is your service?

A. This conferencing technology has carrier class equipment that ensures that all
systems have in-built redundancies to provide reliable service.

Q. What equipment do I require to access your service? Do I need a special
phone?

A. You require a BSNL landline to book the conference. Your telephone should have a
TONE dialling mode. Nowadays, most telephones in corporate environment as well as
all mobiles are on TONE mode. Some telephones provide a toggle switch for shifting
from PULSE mode to TONE mode while in some models you need to press * to enable
TONE mode. For doubts on how to enable TONE mode in your phone, kindly refer to
your telephone's User Manual.

Q. Why do I require a BSNL landline to book a conference call?

A. Your landline number is the pilot number on which the conference is initiated. Since
you are the “Chairperson” the conference call will be set up only on confirmation from
your side. The conferencing charges will be billed on this pilot number only.


Q. Can I book a conference for a third party?

A. No. The number from which you have booked the conference call is the pilot number
of the conference call. Since the bill will be raised on the pilot number, the conference
call has to be booked only from that number.

Q. What is the process involved?

A. Our operator will call the pilot number and verify the conference booking. The
conference will be established only on confirmation.

Q. What are the advantages of audio conferencing?

A. Audio Conferencing is critical because (a) It saves on travel time and travel costs (b) It
makes executive time more productive (c) It is the quickest way to communicate and take
decisions involving many people (d) It makes businesses more efficient and economical
(e) It requires just a telephone instrument.

Q. How many people can I speak to at a time in an audio conference?

A. BSNL has the capability to enable you to confer with 1500 people simultaneously.
However, like in real life meetings, normal interactive conferences are conducted with
typically up to 30 participants. For larger meetings, there are one or two speakers only
and the rest of the participants are essentially listening to a broadcast / lecture and have
to be on mute mode.

Q. How do I get billed?

A. Since these are dial-in conferences, call charges are based on usage basis - meaning
you will be charge per person, per minute. So if 5 people (excluding yourself) attended a
conference call which you initiated, and you spoke for 5 minutes, then you will be
charged for 5 minutes per person x 6 persons=30 person minutes.

FAQs: 1.Whether Prepaid Broadband can be taken along with existing Broadband service?
Ans. Yes. One more account can be taken.

2.Whether prepaid broadband account can be used any where in India?
Ans. Yes, Prepaid Broadband can be accessed from most of the BSNL DSL line in any city. (BSNL services are not available at Delhi and Mumbai).

3.Whether It is possible to change from unlimited plan to limited plan and vice versa?
Ans. Yes. You can also change from one limited/unlimited plan to any other plan without applying for it to BSNL by purchasing the relevant recharge voucher.

4. Can I check my current balance and validity of the service? AndHow?
Ans. Yes, You can check your current balance at any time by logging into customer care portal www.data.bsnl.in. Enabling this on SMS is in process.

5.Whether it is possible to take multiple pre-paid connections on same landline?
Ans- Yes. Presently maximum of two prepaid connections on same landline are allowed.

6.Whether it is possible to use one limited plan and another unlimited plan on same land line?
Ans- Yes. You have to take two prepaid accounts (two independent user_Id).
 One account can be used for unlimited plan and other account can be used for limited plan.

7.What to do in case balance amount is there but no validity?
Ans- You can extend the validity by recharging the account with validity voucher.

8.Whom to contact in case I face any problem during usage?

9.Where shall I get the prepaid recharge vouchers?
Ans-At all CSCs, Franchisees and retailers

10.Can I recharge my account today with future date of effect?
Ans-Yes. You can recharge account now, with an option of giving effect either immediately or after the date of present validity/when the usage becomes zero.

11. Can I have Prepaid account without Land line?
Ans-No. You must have land line to create prepaid account. If land line is disconnected, the account is also deactivated.

12. Is Simultaneous use of same account is possible by two users from same or different landlines?
Ans-No

13.How many user accounts can access the same line at a time?
Ans-No limit as long as different user accounts are used.

14.Is it suitable for hostels to have one Land Line (LL) and each student having different accounts to use? Will the charges be levied on the LL?
Ans-Any no. of users can use the same DSL line for browsing. The charges will be deducted from user accounts and not from the LL used.

15.Is it suitable for organizations to give their employees the access?
Ans-Yes, great opportunity for organizations to reduce the expenditure. The employees may be given access from office DSL line to use their account.

16.Is it possible to change from post paid to prepaid and vice versa?
Ans-No migration is possible. It will be noted that most users will prefer to have a suitable postpaid plan for use at home and have a prepaid plan for use while roaming. This will help them to reduce their total expenditure.

17. If my DSL line goes faulty or temporarily disconnected due to any reasons including shift, whether any extension of validity would be given?
Ans-No. As the account can be accessed from any other DSL line.

18.Whether any intimation is given before session is disconnected due to balance becoming zero.
Ans-No. The session gets terminated.

19.Whether any grace period is given to recharge the account?
Ans-In case of limited plans Grace Period I is for 15 days. If recharge is done during this period, the
balance if any, will be carried forward. Grace period II is for 75 days. During this period no balance
  will be carried forward. For unlimited plans Grace period of 90 days is given to recharge the account.

Prepaid Broadband services are available on BSNL DSL lines.
After sign up and validation, initial account is created with speed upto 2Mbps and 50 MB
 complimentary  download valid for 15 days.
Account need to be recharged with RCVs (Recharge Voucher) to extend initial usage and validity.
Customer can choose from 9 different RCVs for limited plans and 4 different RCVs for unlimited
 plans.
Top-Up vouchers for more usage during validity period and validity vouchers for increasing the
validity  period are available. These are available for limited plans only.
After initial creation of account, prepaid services can be availed from most of the BSNL broadband
enabled landline across geographical locations thus offering roaming facility to customers

To Get Mobile TV Client on your handset, go through the following steps Send an SMS by typing MYTV? (with out quotes) to 55447. You will receive a WAP link message saying Click here to download? Click on the link (or) go to Options ïƒ Download Message As soon as you click on the link, web browser will be opened and will be downloaded. Once download completes, it will ask for Install Click Yes? to Install, it will ask for Phone Memory / Memory Card Once you select the Memory, it will start Installing. You can see a 3G? symbol on the left hand corner on your screen with the signals. You will see a consistent signal once a GPRS Connection is established.
What should I do if GPRS connectivity got lost while I was downloading the MiMobi TV Client?
Try it after sometime. Please stay within your network area while downloading the application.

When you download MIMOBI TV, access point will be set by default for Nokia Handsets and for other handsets check the Settings option in the Application.

In Menu go for Tools Settings Phone Network, there Network mode must be Dual Mode.
