Extension
of Plan Validity under 2G & 3G prepaid mobile services

BSNL
Chennai telephones has implemented extending plan validity through SMS by the
customers of all prepaid plans currently on offer in Chennai Telephones with
effect from 18/11/13. The details are as under:-
(A) SMS
intimation one week before and 2-3 days before expiry (before GP1 starts):-
(i) The
following SMS will be sent to customers one week before expiry of validity:-
“Dear Customer, your plan validity
expires on DD-MM-YY. Please get it extended by using Rs.____plan voucher”.
(ii) SMS
content for obtaining customer’s consent who are having sufficient balance in
their prepaid account for extension of validity, 2-3 days before expiry of
plan validity:-
“Dear customer, please send
<CONTINUE> to 53733 for extending plan validity by --- days w.e.f
DD-MM-YY by BSNL after deducting Rs.___ from your balance”.
(iii) SMS
content for those customers not having sufficient balance in their prepaid
account, 2-3 days before expiry of plan validity:-
“Dear customer, please recharge
your prepaid account and send <CONTINUE> to 53733 for extending plan
validity by --- days w.e.f DD-MM-YY by BSNL after deducting Rs.___ from your
balance”.
(B) Validity
Extension on 1st day of GP1 (immediately after the expiry of
plan validity):_
The customers who did not get
their validity extended as per (A) above are due for entering into GP1 after
the expiry of their plan validity. For customers having sufficient balance in
their prepaid account, in the absence of response or inaction by the
customer, the plan validity of the customer may be extended on the 1st day
of GP1 state after deduction of the plan voucher amount of the existing plan
from the account balance and intimated accordingly.
