CDMA VANITY NUMBER SCHEME

BSNL CHOOSE Your NUMBER BY FRANCHEE/RETAILER –through CTOPUP:

CHOOSE YOUR MOBILE UMBER(CYM ) SCHEME
This Scheme is named as “CHOOSE YOUR MOBILE NUMBER” empowered the prospective
customers to choose from the entire pool of say one lakh numbers by making them accessible
through website. A PIN creation on the customer’s mobile/web site is added to identify the
allottee of the number.


CHOOSE THE NUMBER BY FRANCHEE/RETAILER –through CTOPUP:
FRANCHEE/RETAILER can send an SMS to the designated short code through his
CTOPOP Mobile number
NLIST<Space>Abbreviated circle code (CHN) <space>1-5 digits (ending with choice
digits 1-5)
Ex: NLIST<space>CHN<space>00275
Franchisee/Retailer will get 20 numbers for his choice and allowed to select one
among them at time.
This list of numbers will be available to that franchisee/retailer for 4 Hrs so that they
can release these numbers to the customer as per choice.
Once the number is selected, he has to give a confirmation by sending SMS to 53734
as follows.
CONF<space>Selected GSM Number
If confirmed customer will get a 7 digit PIN Number. If not customer will get the non
availability of chosen GSM Number.
For activation Franchisee/Retailer should send the following SMS to 53734
ENER<Space>Last seven digits of SIM Number<space>PIN/GSM
Ex: ENER 2536471 8262496


CHOOSE THE NUMBER THROUGH INTERNET:
The process allows a customer a large range of numbers to choose from.
Customer can visit www.chennai.bsnl.co.in and select the numbers of his choice.
After the number selection a dialog box will open in which customer has to enter
his mobile number.
In turn customer will get a 7 digit PIN Number on his mobile as well in the
website.
Customer need to input the 7 digit PIN in the web site for confirming the selection
of the mobile number.
Now the selection of his choice of mobile number gets completed.
The PIN will be valid for 72 Hrs.
Now the customer is free to approach Nearest CSC/Franchisee and inform him the
mobile number and the PIN received to get the selected choice of number across
the counter by submitting the required documents.
A Customer can choose only one mobile number per day.

CHOOSE THE NUMBER THROUGH SMS:
Customer should send a SMS through his mobile to the designated short code
53734 for BSNL mobile and 9400012345 for others.
SMS Format
NLIST<Space>Abbreviated circle code (CHN) <space>1-5 digits (ending with
choice digits 1-5)
Ex: NLIST<space>CHN<space>00275
The customer will get up to 10 numbers for his choice and allowed to select one
among them within 30 minutes.
The customer can reserve the number by sending the following SMS to 53734 for
BSNL mobile and 9400012345 for others.
CONF<space>Selected GSM Number
If confirmed customer will get a 7 digit PIN Number. If not customer will get the
non availability of chosen GSM Number.
This PIN is also valid for 72 Hrs.
Now the customer is free to approach Nearest CSC/Franchisee and inform him the
mobile number and the PIN received to get the selected choice of number across
the counter by submitting the required documents.

BSNL CHOOSE YOUR MOBILE NUMBER via Internet or Via SMS

CHOOSE YOUR MOBILE NUMBER The detailed procedure with respect to Selection/Creation of numbers (Normal number and Fancy number excluding Vanity and Penta vanity numbers) via Internet/SMS is as follows. Procedure for Selection/Creation of Fancy/Normal number.
1) Selection of fancy /normal number via Internet:-
a) The selection of fancy /normal number will be available on Internet.
b) The selection option will be accessible via Internet through the website “http://circlename.bsnl.co.in”, .
c) The customer can select the available number in the list and as soon as he selects the number, a 7 digit PIN number (Personal Identity Number) will be generated and the same will be sent through SMS to the customer to his mobile number entered in the web-page. (Preferably a BSNL mobile number may be given for the receipt of the PIN number). d) An exclusive option is also available to fill the address of the customer; this will avoid any disconnection at a later stage due to “address not available”. e) The selection of the number will be reserved for the subscriber for 96 hours for normal numbers and 24 hours for fancy numbers(excluding holidays), within which the customer has to activate the selected number by approaching the nearest CSR otherwise the reserved number will be cancelled and will be taken back to add it in the spare list. f) In order to know the amount fixed in case of fancy number it will be marked against the fancy number which will enable the customer for his commitment. g) The customer is given a choice of selecting only one Fancy /Normal GSM mobile number.


2) Selection of normal number via SMS:-
 a) Any BSNL customer can get the list of spare numbers by texting “NLIST free XXXXX” or “NLIST free” to 53733. In case of the earlier one, XXXXX can be any 3 to 5 digit. A list of 10 spare numbers withmatching XXXXX will be sent to the mobile number from which the request is initiated. In case of the later, any 10 spare random numbers will be sent. In any case, the numbers will be reserved and allotted on FCFS basis only.

b) For reservation of GSM numbers the Customer has to text “CONF <number chosen>”to 53733.
c) On receipt of the SMS, the number will be RESERVED and the Customer will be informed accordingly by sending a 7 digit PIN number for the booked GSM number. This process may take about 15 minutes. If the number is already allotted at the time of receipt of SMS, the Customer will be intimated accordingly and can try again.
d) The selection of the number will be reserved for the subscriber for 96 hours within which the customer has to activate the selected number by approaching the nearest CSR otherwise the reserved number will be cancelled and will be taken back to add it in the spare list.

		1) The Customer can select any One GSM Mobile number of his choice from the available numbers. On his/her selection of choice number (Max. No 1) the customer will get an SMS with a PIN of 7 Digits Preceeding with 'FANCY' which is Valid for 48.hrs Only (i.e Calendar date). The customer need to input the PIN received through SMS in the web site confirming the selection is over and taken.
				2) Now the customer is free to approach the nearest Customer Service Center only and give the details of Mobile Number and PIN received to get the selected Fancy number across the counter by submitting the requisite Documents, payment of price

CHOOSE YOUR MOBILE NUMBER SCHEME (CYMNS)
The customer can obtain a choice for GSM Mobile Number either through internet or by using SMS
query from his existing mobile number and get a choice list of 10 numbers or by approaching the
Customer Service Centre or from Franchisee / Retailer to get the choice numbers.

1. THROUGH INTERNET: - Customer can visit http://sancharsoft.bsnl.co.in/auction/vacant_nos/choose_ur_no.html
 and select the numbers of his choice to get 7 digit PIN number on his mobile. Customer need to input the PIN in the website confirming the selection is completed.

On completion of this the PIN will be valid for 72 hours. Now the customer is free to approach the
nearest CSC or Franchisee or Retailer and inform him the mobile number and PIN received to get
the selected choice number across the counter by submitting required documents.

2. SUBSCRIBERS EMPOWERMENT:
Customer requesting and getting the choice number and selection method.
The customer can send a SMS through his mobile to 53734
NLIST <SPACE><abbreviated circle code><SPACE><1 - 5 digits>
i.e. ending with choice digits 1 to 5.
Note:- Example Abbreviated Circle Code for Madhya Pradesh is MP.
BSNL customers will send message to short code 53734. For customers of other operators, the
SMS code is 9400012345.

The customer will get upto 10 numbers for his choice and allowed to select one among them
within 30 minutes. The customer can reserve the number by sending the following SMS
CONF<SPACE><Selected GSM NUMBER>
The selected number will be made available to that customer for Seventy Two (72) hours, so
that he can approach the Nearest CSC/Franchisee along with documents to complete the
formalities.
3. FRANCHISEE / RETAILER:
The Franchisee / Retailer Requesting the Choice Number / Blocking and activating through
their CTOPUP Number: The Franchisee / Retailer can send a SMS to the designated short code
through his mobile to designated short code like
NLIST <SPACE>><abbreviate circle code><SPACE><1 - 5 digits>
i.e. ending with choice digits 1 to 5.
The Franchisee / Retailer will get 20 numbers for his choice and allowed to select one among
them at a time. The Franchisee / Retailer is allowed to send and reserve the number by sending
CONF<SPACE><Selected GSM NUMBER>
The list of numbers will be made available to that Franchisee / Retailer for 4 hours, so that they can
release those numbers to the customer as per choice. The retailer can directly activate any number
through SMS without necessity of confirmation. However in such case, the number will be activated
if choice number is available with the retailer or the retailer will be immediately sent a SMS, if the
number is sold out. (Sold out means either activated already or PINS generated or obtained by
others on query).
ENER<space> <SIM No of seven digits> <space> < PIN/GSM >
Example: ENER 2536471 8262496
SIM Number ---- Last seven digits out of 19 digits. (Ex:- XXXXXXXXXXXX2536471)
PIN Number -- As received by the customer in his mobile. (Ex:- PIN received in the mobile).
The CYMN scheme message to 53734 ( from BSNL Mobile number of customers & CTopup
numbers of Channel Partners) will be free of charge.
